This is the City of Ottawa Council Chamber.<\/p>\n

The sculpture is called “Structure” and is composed of eleven pieces of granite that represent the eleven municipalities that were amalgamated to form the new Ottawa. \u00a0They look like they should mesh if pushed and prodded a bit but it’s never a perfect fit.<\/p>\n

Most of the projects exhibited on this page are the result of public art competitions.\u00a0 Project budgets range from $10,000 to $250,000.<\/p>\n

The detail above is from a door window done for the Lewis Residence in Dunrobin. \u00a0Fragments of family photos were etched, painted, fired and bolted to a background panel.<\/p>\n

Artist, sculptor, puppeteer and most recently heritage redeveloper with others in small town Almonte near Ottawa.<\/p>\n

The requirement for interesting studio space has morphed into a role in the redevelopment and revitalization of the heritage downtown. \u00a0We have created space for galleries, studios, shops, offices and residences in a community where the arts have played a major role in the \u00a0economic development of the Town and are of significant importance to a disproportionately large sector of the community.<\/p>\n
